Cinderella Castle Gets New Look: Pink to Classic Colors

Cinderella Castle is returning to its original colours, and some people have strong feelings about it.  The current repainting project began in January 2026, with crews gradually transforming the colour section by section.

This update replaces the pink and blue colour scheme introduced a few years ago for the 50th Celebration and brings back a more traditional palette of grays, creams, blues, and touches of gold.

According to Disney and reports from local social outlets sites, the goal of the new paint scheme is to highlight the castle’s architecture while returning to the timeless look that many guests remember from earlier visits.

As the repainting continues, construction lifts and equipment have appeared around the castle during the early morning hours, but Disney has worked to keep views as clear as possible for guests during the day.

Recent updates from park reporters show that much of the pink paint has already been covered, with the castle slowly returning to its more classic appearance.
